This policy explains what personal data WTFilms (wtfilms.app) collects, why we need it and what you can do with it. You can browse the whole site without an account; most of what is below only applies once you sign in.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Timur Kutumbayev, an individual based in the Republic of Kazakhstan, who runs WTFilms. Contact: support@wtfilms.app.
What we collect

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising. We do not collect data from children under 16.
Public profile
Your handle, display name, profile picture, ratings and watchlist are shown on your public profile page. You can hide ratings or the watchlist in Settings. The WTFilms average rating of a title includes all ratings, but does not show who gave them.
Cookies and analytics
We use a few necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Google Analytics is used only if you allow it in the cookie banner. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare - delivers the site, caches pages and protects it from attacks.
- Vultr - hosts our servers and database.
- Google - sign-in, and Google Analytics if you consent.
- Sentry - error reports, which may include technical data about your request.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their standard data protection terms. AI services we use to write descriptions only receive catalog facts about films and series, never your personal data.
How long we keep it
- Account data, ratings and watchlist - while your account exists.
- Search queries - up to 12 months, after that only counts per query remain.
- Server and security logs - up to 30 days.
Your rights
In Settings you can download all your data as a file and delete your account. Deletion happens 30 days after the request; signing in during that time cancels it. After deletion your ratings stay in the average rating without any link to you.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to support@wtfilms.app and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes we will let signed-in users know on the site.
